Come and join us in Manchester in April or May 2019 to celebrate with us and our entertainment team in the true Music Hall spirit, which dates back to the 1850s in the UK.

The Monastery at Gorton has been saved from dereliction by a dedicated and passionate team.  The building was famously designed by Edward Pugin (1834-1875).  A gruelling programme of restoration has transformed this ruin into the magnificent monument it is today.  On arrival, you will hear the story of the re-birth of Gorton from those who fought for it, a truly inspirational tale.

The Music Hall tradition in the UK dates back to the 1850s. The ‘halls’ replaced the public houses as places to go and drink, eat and above all have fun, and we aim to recreate this wonderful tradition at our Greatdays Music Hall at the Monastery. You will enjoy the tunes that iconic performers such as Marie Lloyd, Max Miller, Gracie Fields and George Formby made famous. Sing along with our fantastic performers to all the old classics and allow us to entertain you!

You will enjoy a sumptuous 3 course luncheon at your tables in the Great Nave.  To add some extra pomp and ceremony, why not enter the best dressed competition?  We welcome all things patriotic, as well as Victoriana, top hats, tails, bonnets, chimney sweeps or Pearly Kings and Queens for the Music Hall theme.
