Day 4
Elan Valley and Judges Lodging
A morning visit to the Elan Valley where a park ranger will join the coach for a circular tour to view the Victorian dams and man-made lakes of this 73 square mile wildlife park. Following your tour there will be a buffet lunch served in the restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will visit Judges Lodging. Once called ‘the most commodious and elegant apartments for a judge in all England and Wales’ (Lord Chief Justice Campbell, 1855), decay beckoned Radnorshire’s disused Shire Hall into obscurity. Today, this 2* listed building has a new life, welcoming visitors, sharing the love of its past, having fun and letting its vast courtroom ring with laughter.
