After breakfast, meet with your local guide and coach and travel to Hay-on-Wye, the ‘Town of Books’, where you can wander in the maze of narrow
ancient streets. It’s a short drive to Brecon for a two and a half hour canal cruise, including lunch. In the afternoon, we visit the impressive Brecon Cathedral. Return to the hotel late afternoon with time to relax before dinner.

After breakfast, meet with your guide and head to the seaside town of Aberystwyth for a ride on the Victorian Cliff Railway and a morning cream tea in
the cliff top restaurant. In the afternoon, we board the steam-hauled, narrow gauge Vale of Rheidol Railway for a scenic journey to Devil’s Bridge.
Please note there is no coach drop off point at the cliff railway and guests are required to walk along the promenade and up a relatively steep hill to board. A transfer can be arranged for guests with very limited mobility. Please advise on booking.

A morning visit to the Elan Valley, where a park ranger will join the coach for a one-hour circular tour to view the Victorian dams and man-made lakes of this 73
square mile wildlife park. After the visit, we continue to Presteigne, (Llanandras in Welsh), for a lunch break. Set alongside the river Lugg, the High Street has a
good range of individual shops, restaurants, pubs, hotels and services. In the afternoon, we visit the Judges Lodging, where you will step back to the
1870s and discover the ‘upstairs, downstairs’ life of Victorian Judges, their servants and felonious guests! Return to the hotel late afternoon
