We board our chartered Hovercraft at Southsea at 9.45am for the journey across the Solent to Ryde on the Isle of Wight. The 20-minute flight features a special Hovercraft demonstration including 360-degree turns. Once we arrive at Ryde, there will be chance to meet the pilot and crew and see an external view of the Hovercraft. We then take a short walk to The Royal Esplanade Hotel for tea and coffee and a one-hour presentation from our guide covering the history of the island. This is followed by a two-course lunch at the hotel (pre-order required).

There is then free time in Ryde before we board the Hovercraft at 3pm for the 10-minute journey back to the mainland.

Best of Portsmouth with Cream Tea  - £95.00 per person

Discover some of the outstanding attractions Portsmouth has to offer. We begin with the D-Day Story whose museum covers the preparation, landings and the Battle of Normandy. Our visit also includes the Landing Craft Tank, and a guided tour of the magnificent Overlord Embroidery. The embroidery tells D-Day story in 34 extraordinary hand-stitched panels with a total length of 83 metres.

Next we travel to Gunwharf Quays and enjoy the spectacular views from the viewing platform in Spinnaker Tower, followed by a cream tea in their ground-floor harbour-side restaurant. In the afternoon we visit The Mary Rose at Portsmouth Historic Dockyards, Henry VIII's favourite ship and the largest collection of Tudor objects in the world. There is chance to ‘Dive the Mary Rose’ in the new 4D immersive cinema experience.

Beaulieu and Buckler’s Hard with River Cruise  - £79.00 per person

Today we visit Beaulieu where there is free time to visit the many attractions on site, ranging from the National Motor Museum, Palace House and Gardens, and Beaulieu Abbey and Exhibition. We then travel to the picturesque village of Buckler’s Hard. After time for lunch we take a tranquil 30 minute cruise along one of the world’s only privately owned rivers. Next we visit the fascinating Museum which focuses on the village’s shipbuilding heritage. The reconstructed 18th century cottage interiors complete an insight into how people lived and worked in this part of the New Forest.
