We are pleased to offer packaged tours to Portsmouth for Trefoil Guild members to attend the Annual Meeting in June 2024. Our tour includes transfers and accommodation as well as optional extras including excursions and pre & post tours
Fri 7th June 2024
Arrive in Portsmouth, where a Greatday’s representative will be waiting to meet you at Portsmouth & Southsea Station and you will be taken by transfer to the Marriott Hotel, Portsmouth.
This evening relax with dinner at the hotel.
Sat 8th June 2024
After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel by transfer and driven to Portsmouth Guildhall for the Trefoil Guild Annual Meeting. When the Annual Meeting concludes, a transfer will be available to take you back to your hotel.
After an early dinner, you will then be collected from your hotel and taken back to Portsmouth Guildhall for an evening of entertainment provided by the Trefoil Guild. When the evening concludes, a transfer will be available to take you back to your hotel.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. A range of optional day excursions are available to choose from and pre-book (see over). This evening after dinner we will enjoy an evening of entertainment featuring the songs of ABBA, provided by Greatdays entertainment duo at the Portsmouth Marriott Hotel. There will also be a quiz, raffle and prizes for fancy dress!

After breakfast we say goodbye to Portsmouth. You can either join the coach departing for the post meeting tour or return home. Transfers to Portsmouth and Southsea train station will be available throughout Monday morning.

Portsmouth Marriott is a four-star hotel located on the outskirts of Portsmouth.
The hotel boasts modern hotel rooms, featuring stylish décor, high-speed Wi-Fi, blackout curtains, flat-screen TVs, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron,
air-conditioning, and open wardrobes. Some bedrooms have atrium views.
Hotel facilities include a bar, coffee shop, lounge area, restaurant and lifts to all floors. There is a small outside seating area. Dinner will be held in a private suite.
A pre-order for dinner is required and you will be contacted about this closer to departure. Owing to limited timing, dinner on Saturday will be a two-course hot fork buffet.

Hovercraft Crossing to Isle of Wight with Two-Course Lunch - £95.00 per person
We board our chartered Hovercraft at Southsea at 9.45am for the journey across the Solent to Ryde on the Isle of Wight. The 20-minute flight features a special Hovercraft demonstration including 360-degree turns. Once we arrive at Ryde, there will be chance to meet the pilot and crew and see an external view of the Hovercraft. We then take a short walk to The Royal Esplanade Hotel for tea and coffee and a one-hour presentation from our guide covering the history of the island. This is followed by a two-course lunch at the hotel (pre-order required).
There is then free time in Ryde before we board the Hovercraft at 3pm for the 10-minute journey back to the mainland.
Best of Portsmouth with Cream Tea - £95.00 per person
Discover some of the outstanding attractions Portsmouth has to offer. We begin with the D-Day Story whose museum covers the preparation, landings and the Battle of Normandy. Our visit also includes the Landing Craft Tank, and a guided tour of the magnificent Overlord Embroidery. The embroidery tells D-Day story in 34 extraordinary hand-stitched panels with a total length of 83 metres.
Next we travel to Gunwharf Quays and enjoy the spectacular views from the viewing platform in Spinnaker Tower, followed by a cream tea in their ground-floor harbour-side restaurant. In the afternoon we visit The Mary Rose at Portsmouth Historic Dockyards, Henry VIII's favourite ship and the largest collection of Tudor objects in the world. There is chance to Dive the Mary Rose in the new 4D immersive cinema experience.
Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard with River Cruise - £79.00 per person
Today we visit Beaulieu where there is free time to visit the many attractions on site, ranging from the National Motor Museum, Palace House and Gardens, and Beaulieu Abbey and Exhibition. We then travel to the picturesque village of Bucklers Hard. After time for lunch we take a tranquil 30 minute cruise along one of the worlds only privately owned rivers. Next we visit the fascinating Museum which focuses on the villages shipbuilding heritage. The reconstructed 18th century cottage interiors complete an insight into how people lived and worked in this part of the New Forest.
