Join Burland Day Trips & Tours on this exciting tour to South Wales. Tour highlights include a visit to the Royal Mint, a guided tour of the Gower Heritage Centre & a tour of the Penderyn Distillery

Day 1

Travel to hotel via Royal Mint
Today we head to the new Royal Mint Experience to see how more than two billion coins from the UK and across the world are produced each year. The visit includes a guided factory tour and free time in the interactive exhibition.

Day 2

Today, we head into Pembrokeshire to the pretty seaside resort and fishing port of Tenby. There’s time to explore the cobbled streets and perhaps enjoy some lunch overlooking the picturesque harbour.

Day 3

Enjoy the morning exploring Swansea’s bustling city centre. At the end of the morning the coach will take you along to the picturesque, Victorian seaside resort of Mumbles, now a cosy and cosmopolitan destination. After free time to explore the area, we head for the Gower Heritage Centre for an afternoon discovering all about the Gower peninsula, Britain’s first designated ‘Area of Outstanding Beauty.’ After time at the Heritage Centre, the coach will take you (with an option for a tour guide) around the peninsular, revealing ancient sites, monuments and castles

Day 4

Today is free to explore the Welsh capital. You may choose to visit Cardiff Castle and discover 2,000 years of history at the heart of the city. You may also choose to visit the National Museum Cardiff, located in Cardiff’s elegant civic centre, it houses Wales’ national art, geology and natural history collections

Day 5

Return Home via Penderyn Distillery
After departing the hotel, we will visit the Penderyn Whisky Visitor Centre. A guided tour of the distillery will reveal the manufacturing secrets before a tutored tasting gives you the opportunity to sample a selection of products from the only whisky distillery in Wales.
