Our wonderful 2 night short break celebrates the eclectic blend of rhythm and blues, soul, funk, gospel and pop that is Motown.

Forged in ’60’s and ’70’s Detroit, the hit record-label caused a sensation, crossing cultural divides and launching superstars such as The Jackson 5, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and many more.

After a 3-course dinner in the dedicated function room, our talented duo and band will perform two 45-minute sets of the best of ’60s and Soul music. Our DJ will keep us dancing into the night.

20th April 2026

After a buffet breakfast the morning is yours to relax or explore Chester. Greatdays is happy to create a bespoke itinerary for your group.
In the evening, we enjoy dinner in the private function room followed by the main event, as our 5-piece take to the stage and regale us with the classic hits of the Motown Era. Their two hour set will be accompanied by our DJ who will see the night in and bring the house down. Don’t forget to pack your dancing shoes and get ready to get funky.

QUEEN HOTEL AT CHESTER Visited by Greatdays staff in January 2025

The hotel is just a 10 minute walk to the city centre. The 218 rooms have air conditioning, TV, desk, wardrobe, en-suite with shower, a tea/coffee set, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. There is a lift to the rooms.

The recently refurbished stunning public areas are perfect to meet for a drink from the bar – a cup of tea or a cocktail? For those who enjoy sitting outside in mild weather, the internal terrace has outdoor seating for you to enjoy some tranquility.
